VK Calls: desktop client for video calls without any number of participants limit — from scratch in 365 days

VK calls is a desktop app by VK for video calls in VK and group calls where everyone may take part.
It was a real challenge! The authors had these goals:
- to reach maximum performance and quality — for example, support 4K screen sharing;
- to provide native assemblies for all main desktop platforms — only this way there will be no browser or virtual machine limitations;
- to add all functions necessary for state-of-art video connection, for example, noise reduction or virtual background;
- to do this in times of COVID-19 in a short turnaround.
Pavel will talk about developing VK Calls app using native WebRTC assembly, cross-platform Qt framework supporting OpenGL, runaround and clean C++ code.
