8K Decoding in libVLC

Decoding 8K video requires a HUGE amount of data to be processed very quickly. One additional copy of the data — and that's it: the memory bus is fully loaded, the CPU is cold and, as a result, the video does not play. In this talk, we will talk about what problems The VLC Team found in the process of working on 8K decoding, how we solved them and what lessons we learned from this work.
