Georgiy Nikandrov

At Yandex, Georgiy leads a team for the development of lidars – the main sensors of the vision system for self-driving cars and robots. Before that, he worked for almost 15 years in a company that develops aviation equipment, helicopter simulators and pilotless aeroplanes (the largest in Russia). There he managed the optical department and the development of various optoelectronic systems. Graduated from ITMO University with a specialisation in optoelectronic systems and complexes. Candidate of Technical Sciences.
