Design and Evolution of Open Source Wireless Video Transmission Systems
The world of URLLC systems has undergone several revolutionary changes in recent years, but the majority of the market is still represented by a few commercial systems such as DJI and Walksnail, which use proprietary LTE chips for video transmission. It turns out that by using existing open source projects, one can build their own solution that is both cheaper and more flexible than commercial systems.
This talk examines the history of this direction from the initial idea to its current state, the engineering challenges of using reliable low-latency video transmission, and the ways to solve them.
