For more than 15 years he has been studying asteroids and comets as well as space debris issues. In 2010 he discovered the first comet in the history of the Russian Federation.
To date, Leonid is the discoverer of 6 comets and more than 300 asteroids. Popularizer of science, lecturer of the Russian Society “Znanie”.
Writer, author of the novel “Bortle's Limit” and popular science book “Comets. Wanderers of the Solar System”.
